Public GIS Map Viewer: Getting Coordinates
You can get coordinates for any point on the map. Coordinates are provided in both
latitude and longitude as well as in NAD83 State Plane measurements.
Coordinates may be obtained at any zoom level, but if you are looking for coordinates for a
specific place, it will be easier to get more precise results if you first zoom to the desired
location.
First, if desired, zoom or pan to the
desired area, then click the Coords tool to enter get coordinates mode. A pop-up help message
will appear. Click OK to continue.
Once in this mode, click any point on the map. Coordinates for that point will be displayed in
decimal degress, in DMS (degrees-minutes-seconds), and in New Hampshire
State Plane
coordinates.
You can click on multiple points to view their coordinates, but you must click OK to the pop-up
message each time in order to click on another point.
To exit Get Coordinates mode, you must choose another tool such as Zoom In, Pan, etc.
